Soft Skills: Teamwork

Organizational success often depends on how well people work together. A team of people isn’t just a group of people in the same place at the same time. True teamwork results in positive outcomes that everyone contributes to and feels good about. But if teamwork is so wonderful, why doesn’t it always work? Effective teams are a lot more complicated than they look. They take a concerted effort, an understanding of group dynamics, and a lot of “people sense.”
Organizations need people who know how to develop, maintain, and contribute to successful work teams. This program will provide tips, techniques, and activities to teach others about how to build and reinforce their teams.
Participants will learn how to:
- Build an effective team;
- Determine what types of activities are beneficial to different groups;
- Aid in breaking down the barriers to teamwork;
- Resolve conflicts within the team; and
- Explore key elements of improved communication between the leader, the team, and individuals.
