Say No to Bullying

July 15 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am

Workplace bullies have always been on the scene. They roam our production floors, our offices and can even be found in the boardroom intentionally inflicting pain or harm. In turn this causes productivity concerns and potential legal threats to employers.  Some researchers claim one in every three employees will experience bullying at work. And the experts say bullying costs businesses more than $200 billion a year due to decreased productivity, increased absenteeism, and high turnover.

This program is designed to educate participants about what is bullying, how to spot it, and how to respond to it both personally and professionally.

We will discuss the following:

  • Characteristics of a bully;
  • Understand why the bully behaves the way that they do;
  • How to spot and stop bullying behavior;
  • The difference between bullying and harassment;
  • The corrosive impacts of workplace bullying;
  • How to deal with reports of bullying; and
  • Key policy considerations.
