Personal Improvement: Building Trust

April 29 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am

Trusting someone means that you think they’re reliable, you have confidence in them, and you feel safe with them physically and emotionally. We know how important trust is in every relationship. This session can help your leaders (and your team members) learn how to build trust in the workplace and how to repair it when it’s been broken. In this program, individuals will be able to understand the impact of their behaviors on eroding trust and identify those aspects that need attention to build and maintain trusting relationships.

This program will draw from the works and models of Stephen Covey and Ken Blanchard. We will discuss:

  • Is trust a competency or a character?
  • The five layers of trust including self, organizational and relationship trust;
  • Warning signs of distrust to pay attention to;
  • Behaviors you can implement immediately to be purposeful in build trust with others;
  • Tips for trust that has been broken and looking for repair; and
  • Exercises and activities you can do now and in the future to build and reinforce trust with your staff members and others.
