Is It Time To Update Your Handbook? (Probably Policies & Forms Too) – Webinar/Teleconference

Communication inside an organization is vital.  When it is not done well, it lands on HR’s desk.  A great deal of HR work centers around the maintenance and/or dissemination of policies, documents, and information.  Well, the Oregon Legislature is making sure we all stay busy.  It has been an active session with many new changes for employers which means a lot of updating and revising
will be needed for your materials.

As we all know, handbooks, policies and forms are critical to both the employer and employee.  They serve as the framework for decisions, documentation, and as a guideline for personnel actions; they establish the communications
link between employers and employees.  With today’s legal environment well written and communicated handbooks, policy statements and forms are an absolute necessity – so let’s make sure you have the latest information. 

This interactive session will primarily focus on Handbook needs, but also address what employers need to share/tell employees.  Our discussion will cover:

  • What should and shouldn’t be in an employee handbook.
  • Basic dos and don’ts.
  • What legislative changes have occurred and how to address the new regulations.
  • What preferred terms and language should be used.
  • What forms need to be changed.
  • Content and tone ideas for an Employee Handbook, policy language
    suggestions, and sample forms.

  • Cancellations also must be received one week before the program date to receive a full refund.
