Business etiquette helps build trusting, respectful relationships between co-workers and between management and employees, as well as with clients or customers. Etiquette represents the art of not offending those around you – perhaps we could call it courtesy. Practicing proper etiquette will reduce misunderstandings and blunders that can hurt your career. If you convey respect and trust toward your co-workers in written communication and during dining situations, casual interactions, and corporate events, you are on your way toward practicing good business etiquette.
