Advanced Supervision Series

This series will be held in person at the HR Answers, Inc. office located in Tigard, Oregon.
There are only 24 spots available, so register early!
Participants will assess their own development as a supervisor, as well as discuss the challenges and opportunities they have faced since the “New Supervisors” program (participation in our previous programming is not required in order to register for this advanced series).
This 4-part series will cover:
- Successful delegation (how, when and to whom)
- Handling complex employee issues
- Coaching techniques for employee development
- Expanding your cultural competency and being an inclusive leader
- Addressing misconduct in the workplace (using ethical considerations)
- Investigation of employee complaints
- Strategic goal setting (for self and with employees)
- Meeting management
As always these will be lively sessions with stories drawn from experience, practical ideas that actually work, and lots of take away materials to use as future reference and resources. Class time will also include breakout room activities and small group work. There will assignments given between sessions to take the content into the “real work world”. There will be times of self-reflection offering participants the opportunity to build your own personal development plan going forward. Join with others to learn together and how to be the best possible supervisor and enhance your effectiveness.
Things to know about this series:
- Primary materials for the series (slides, reading materials, and more) will be available for online for download at no cost.
- Supplemental materials for class exercises, tools, samples, etc. will be provided in class for each attendee.
- Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop, or you can print your materials ahead of time and bring them with you.
- Participants are expected to have access to their materials at each class (via laptop or printed out).
- There will be a panel of HR Answers trainers for this series.
- This will be an interactive series with an opportunity for hands-on learning with practice time with other participants and in-class homework.

- Space is limited, and registration is on a “first come, first served” basis.
- If you do not receive confirmation of your registration or a reminder notice for the session your registration has not been received.
Refund Policy:
- Full refund if your cancelation is received 14 or more days prior to the start of the series.
- No refund if you cancel with less than 14 days notice.
- No partial refund if you are unable to attend all sessions.
