The Oregon Equal Pay Act of 2017 strengthens existing protections, creates new provisions and requires all employers to conduct a pay equity study.
The law has created considerable new obligations and areas of liability for Oregon employers and it can take time for businesses to discover and correct pay inequities in a workforce.
While certain provisions of the law do not take effect until 2024, there are steps that need to be taken in advance of that date and are due by January 1, 2019. We will cover an overview of the law and the obligations each employer needs to assess and act upon.
